Li Bing Bing’s Secrets to Youthful Face At 40: Face Masks, Ice Water, and Yoga

Born in 1973, Li Bing Bing, one of China’s most successful A-list actresses has turned 40 this Feburary. This is the age where women are freaking out about their skin and getting wrinkles. Despite the age, Bing Bing appears to defy the laws of nature by showcasing her gorgeous face with no signs aging at promotional and fashion events.

In a scene of American film “Snowflower and the Secret Fan”, actress Li Bing Bing had to become a highschool student along with 1981-born korean costar Jeon Ji Hyun. It is difficult to tell Li’s true age with her radiant, youthful face and beautiful smile that is comparable to Jeon.

Li Bing Bing divulges secrets to her bright and transparent skin:

In the Morning, Use Ice Water to Wake Up the Face

This will give the face a daily “SPA morning call”. Prep the cleaning tissue/napkin and cleansing water by placing them in the fridge overnight. Also, she suggests to use sunblock each day because it will help the skin to block harmful uv rays and slow down the skin’s aging process. Bing Bing loves to use BB creams, which include uv protection.

A Mask A Day With Miraculous Results

As a frequent flyer due to a busy schedule, Li Bing Bing does three things on the road: sleep, read, and apply face masks: “The face mask is an ancient skincare product that people a long time ago would use; they would use mud in conjunction with rain water or river water and spread the mixture on their faces and bodies, which became the first form of the facial masks”. Face mask is Bing Bing’s way of keeping her skin stay hydrated. Upon arrival to her destination, she likes to apply the mask to keep her face moisturized in the drying cabin during the flight. Before sleeping, night cream is a must. Face masks also work great to prep the skin as a good canvas for makeup (a good idea to use before a big event).

Essential Oils + Doing Yoga Gives Skin a SPA

At the year’s end Li Bing Bing is busy with a packed workload, with many movie festivals and events to attend. But even with her schedule, she manages to squeeze in time to relax and rejuvenate – essential oils and yoga. This helps to detox the skin and the soul. It is the magic weapon Bing Bing uses to maintain the perfect condition for her body and mind so she is ready to perform when she goes to events. In a room alone, she burns some lavender oil, turns on the music, and practices a little bit of yoga.

Down Two Cups of Lukewarm Water Every Morning

Li Bingbing has discussed how external maintenance is important, but internal diet also can not be ignored: “Every morning I drink two cups of warm water, because warm water can wash away any bad that I may have eaten throughout the day. No matter how busy, I will eat breakfast. The breakfast will likely be a high-fiber grain porridge, which will detoxify the skin, naturally making it have a good appearance”.

Whole Body Care Ritual

If she is tired from filming all day, Li Bingbing will light essential oil candles and bathe in milk powder (yes you read that right; nutrients from milk is supposed to help make the skin smooth). In putting on your favorite music while applying face mask while doing hair care; this is the whole body skincare ritual. When it is completed, you will feel renewed and filled with the feeling of vitality.
